I sometimes come across as a pessimist, but I’m actually an optimist and a skeptic.

I’m a maker who believes we live in the age of “peak everything”. It’s easy to make something small but I want the things I make to have an impact. When I build for others, I start with watching and listening. I then use my inner skeptic to push past small ideas and to prepare for the challenges that are inherent in doing something big.

Right now, I’m bringing technology to parents and their children; a historically under-served population. Technology, purpose-built, for their unique needs as emergent speakers, readers, and thinkers can empower children to explore the world around them while keeping parents firmly in control. Tens of millions of families have used Amazon Kids and I’m proud of how my work has touched a generation.
